"I Am Not a Leader" - She Told Me
Sep 15, 2025I had a session with a client, and when I told her that she is a leader, she responded, "I am not a leader." Or "I don't think of myself as a leader."
Well ...
This woman
- parents her kids differently
- asks questions, learns, educates herself, & makes intentional choices
- sets aside time for self-care and creativity
- communicates with her partner, listens, stays out of reactivity as much as possible, and finds the best solutions
- does inner work and takes responsibility
- cares for her work, students, children, partner, friends, and sees to their development, betterment, and highest potential
- listens to her intuition!
- and she doesn't do it alone. She finds support in various forms.
Is she not a leader?
She might be a quiet leader. The one that is not holding an official title. But definitely the one that makes a huge difference!!!
Don't underestimate yourself!

Maybe we have learned examples of leaders who are loud, pushy, insensitive, ego-driven, and disconnected from their purpose and mission on this planet.
But true heart-centered leadership is different and, sometimes, invisible. It makes a huge impact on people's lives.
Keep shining,
